In September, I travelled to the Republic of Ireland and London, to present my project on Thadeus O’Kane and to continue my research.

I visited the following places of significance in Mr. O’Kane’s life:

  • Dingle, where Mr. O’Kane was born in 1820 and later lived with his wife and children

  • Maynooth University, where he studied Humanities in1839

  • Tralee, where he lived and published the newspaper The Kerry Star from 1861-1863

  • Bayswater, London, where he lived in 1863

Below are photos of my presentations and the wonderful people I met in the Republic of Ireland. Thank you for facilitating my events and providing such generous support of my ongoing project.
